Reading Strategies

Skimming: leer
rápidamente para captar la idea general del texto.

Scanning: buscar
información específica (fechas, nombres, cifras).
→ Pregunta: “According to the text, when…?”
3.
Vocabulary in context: identificar el significado de palabras según el
contexto.
→ Pregunta: “What does the word ___ mean in the text?”
4.
Author’s intention / purpose: reconocer si el texto busca informar, persuadir,
entretener o advertir.
→ Pregunta: “What is the author’s purpose?”
