When do we use the Present Simple?
We use
the Present Simple to talk about:
- Daily
routines
- Habits
- Things
that are always true
Examples:
- He
eats breakfast at 7.
- She
plays the piano.
- It runs fast. (It =
the dog)
The rule
for He / She / It
For he,
she and it, we add -s to the verb.

Spelling Rules

Most
verbs → add -s
o play → plays
o read → reads
2. Verbs
ending in ch, sh, s, x, o → add -es
o go → goes

ending in consonant + y → change y → ies
o study → studies
o fly → flies
