2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS (Presente continuo)

 Uso:

Se usa para hablar de acciones que están ocurriendo ahora o planes futuros cercanos.
Palabras clave: now, right now, at the moment, today, this week…

 Estructura:

  • Afirmativa: Subject + am/is/are + verb + -ing
    → They are studying English.
  • Negativa: Subject + am/is/are not + verb + -ing
    → I am not watching TV.
  • Interrogativa: Am/Is/Are + subject + verb + -ing?
    → Is she working today?

💬 Ejemplos:

3. PAST SIMPLE (Pasado simple)

 Uso:

Se usa para hablar de acciones terminadas en el pasado.
Palabras clave: yesterday, last night, two days ago, in 2010…

 Estructura:

  • Afirmativa: Subject + past verb (regular +ed / irregular form)
    → I watched a movie. / She went to school.
  • Negativa: Subject + didn’t + base verb
    → He didn’t play soccer.
  • Interrogativa: Did + subject + base verb?
    → Did you study yesterday?

 CAN – Poder / saber hacer algo

  • Uso: habilidad o permiso.
    → I can swim. / Can I go out?

 MUST – Deber (obligación fuerte / regla)

  • Uso: obligación o necesidad.
    → You must wear a uniform.

 HAVE TO – Tener que (obligación externa)

  • Uso: algo que alguien o una situación impone.
    → I have to do my homework.

 SHOULD – Debería (consejo)

  • Uso: dar sugerencias o recomendaciones.
    → You should eat healthy food.

The Present Simple is used to talk about things that happen every day, always, or usually.
We use it for routines, facts, and things that are always true.

Examples:

  • I get up at 7 o’clock.
  • She plays soccer on Saturdays.
  • The sun rises in the east.

Structure:
Affirmative:
Subject + base verb (+ s/es for he, she, it)
→ I play / He plays

Negative:
Subject + don’t / doesn’t + base verb
→ I don’t play / He doesn’t play

Question:
Do / Does + subject + base verb?
→ Do you play soccer? / Does she play soccer?

Important:

  • We add s or es only with he, she, it.
  • We don’t add s in negative sentences or questions.

 

ESPAÑOL

El Presente Simple se usa para hablar de cosas que pasan todos los días, siempre o normalmente.
Se usa para rutinas, hechos, y verdades universales.

Ejemplos:

  • Me levanto a las 7 en punto.
  • Ella juega fútbol los sábados.
  • El sol sale por el este.

Estructura:
Afirmativa:

Sujeto + verbo base (+ s/es para he, she, it)
→ I play / He plays = Yo juego / Él juega

Negativa:
Sujeto + don’t / doesn’t + verbo base
→ I don’t play / He doesn’t play = Yo no juego / Él no juega

Interrogativa:
Do / Does + sujeto + verbo base?
→ Do you play soccer? / Does she play soccer? = ¿Juegas fútbol? / ¿Ella juega fútbol?

Importante:

  • Solo se agrega s o es con he, she, it.
  • En las oraciones negativas y preguntas no se agrega s.
