RELAXING CLASS

 


Good morning my dear kids, you are going to practice the adjectives and then color.

Adjectives with -ed and -ing

1. Adjectives ending in -ED

(describe feelings: how a person feels)

·       bored → feeling no interest → aburrido

·       tired → needing rest → cansado

·       confused → not understanding → confundido

·       excited → very happy, enthusiastic → emocionado

·       interested → wanting to know more → interesado

·       worried → thinking something bad might happen → preocupado

·       annoyed → slightly angry → molesto

·       frightened → scared, afraid → asustado

·       relaxed → calm, not stressed → relajado

·       shocked → surprised in a negative way → impactado / sorprendido

·       satisfied → happy with something → satisfecho

·       amused → thinking something is funny → divertido

·       embarrassed → feeling uncomfortable or ashamed → avergonzado

 

2. Adjectives ending in -ING

(describe things/people: what causes the feeling)

·       boring → not interesting → aburrido (que causa aburrimiento)

·       tiring → makes you need rest → cansador / agotador

·       confusing → difficult to understand → confuso

·       exciting → makes you feel happy and enthusiastic → emocionante

·       interesting → makes you want to know more → interesante

·       worrying → makes you feel worried → preocupante

·       annoying → makes you feel annoyed → fastidioso / molesto

·       frightening → causes fear → aterrador / espantoso

·       relaxing → makes you feel calm → relajante

·       shocking → very surprising in a negative way → impactante

·       satisfying → makes you feel satisfied → satisfactorio

·       amusing → funny, entertaining → divertido / gracioso

·       embarrassing → makes you feel uncomfortable → vergonzoso

Quick rule:

·       -ed = the feeling (how people feel)

·       -ing = the cause (what makes people feel)
