FUTURE SIMPLE

Future Simple: Will & Going to

1. Uso de "Will"

Se utiliza "will" para:

Predicciones sin evidencia:

Ejemplo: I think it will rain tomorrow.

Decisiones espontáneas:

Ejemplo: I’m thirsty. I will get some water.

Promesas, ofertas o amenazas:

Ejemplos:

I will help you with your homework. (oferta)

I promise I will call you tonight. (promesa)

Estructura de "Will"

Afirmativa:

Sujeto + will + verbo en forma base + complemento

Ejemplo: She will travel to Paris next summer.

Negativa:

Sujeto + will not (won’t) + verbo en forma base + complemento

Ejemplo: They won’t come to the party.

Interrogativa:

Will + sujeto + verbo en forma base + complemento + ?

Ejemplo: Will you help me with this project?

2. Uso de "Going to"

Se utiliza "going to" para: 

Planes o intenciones futuras ya decididas:

Ejemplo: I am going to visit my grandparents next weekend.

Predicciones basadas en evidencia actual:

Ejemplo: Look at those clouds! It is going to rain.

Estructura de "Going to"

Afirmativa:

Sujeto + verbo “to be” (am/is/are) + going to + verbo en forma base + complemento

Ejemplo: We are going to watch a movie tonight.

Negativa:

Sujeto + verbo “to be” (am not/isn’t/aren’t) + going to + verbo en forma base + complemento

Ejemplo: He isn’t going to study for the test.

Interrogativa:

Verbo “to be” (Am/Is/Are) + sujeto + going to + verbo en forma base + complemento + ?

Ejemplo: Are they going to travel this summer?

 

ACTIVIDAD

 

1. Completa las oraciones con “will” o “won’t”

I think it will rain tomorrow.

She  won't come to the meeting because she is sick.

will you help me with my homework, please?

They will be very happy when they see the surprise.

I won't anyone your secret.


2. Completa las oraciones usando “going to”

Look at those dark clouds! It is going to rain.

We are going to visit our grandparents this weekend.

He isn't going to study tonight because he’s tired.

Is She going to buy a new phone soon?

They aren't going to play  soccer because they have a lot of homework.



3. Elige la opción correcta (Will o Going to)

A: Why are you turning on the TV?

B: I __________ (will / am going to) watch the news.

A: I forgot my wallet!

B: Don’t worry. I __________ (will / am going to) lend you some money.

Look at that boy! He __________ (will / is going to) fall off his bike.

I don’t feel well. I think I __________ (will / am going to) go home early.

4. Reescribe las oraciones en forma negativa e interrogativa

She will visit London next year.

Negativa: She won't visit london next year ___________________________________________

Interrogativa: Wil she visit london next year? __________________________________________

They are going to cook dinner tonight.

Negativa: They are not going to cook dinner tonight. ___________________________________________

Interrogativa: Are they going to cook dinner tonight? __________________________________________



5. Escribe oraciones utilizando “will” o “going to” según corresponda

(Intención) Yo am going to (estudiar) para el examen mañana.

(Predicción sin evidencia) Él will (ganar) el partido.

(Decisión espontánea) ¡Hace frío! Yo will  (cerrar) la ventana.

(Evidencia presente) Mira esa banana. Ella is going to (caerse).

(Promesa) Te will (llamar) esta noche.


6. Redacción Breve

Escribe un párrafo corto (5-6 oraciones) sobre tus planes para el fin de semana utilizando will y going to.
