Good morning, guys, today we are going to continue practicing the present simple.
PRESENT SIMPLE – CORRECT THE SENTENCES
Each sentence has one mistake. Read carefully and rewrite it correctly.


PART A – Affirmative Sentences
Example: She play tennis every Sunday. → She plays tennis every Sunday.

Classes start at 8 o’clock and finish at 2:30. After school, I have lunch and do my homework. In the afternoon, I play soccer in the park or listen to music. In the evening, I have dinner with my family and watch TV. 
I go to bed at 9:30 p.m.

PRESENT SIMPLE

ENGLISH

The Present Simple is used to talk about things that happen every day, always, or usually.
We use it for routines, facts, and things that are always true.

Examples:

  • I get up at 7 o’clock.
  • She plays soccer on Saturdays.
  • The sun rises in the east.

Structure:
Affirmative:
Subject + base verb (+ s/es for he, she, it)
→ I play / He plays

Negative:
Subject + don’t / doesn’t + base verb
→ I don’t play / He doesn’t play

Question:
Do / Does + subject + base verb?
→ Do you play soccer? / Does she play soccer?

Important:

  • We add s or es only with he, she, it.
  • We don’t add s in negative sentences or questions.

 

ESPAÑOL

El Presente Simple se usa para hablar de cosas que pasan todos los días, siempre o normalmente.
Se usa para rutinas, hechos, y verdades universales.

Ejemplos:

  • Me levanto a las 7 en punto.
  • Ella juega fútbol los sábados.
  • El sol sale por el este.

Estructura:
Afirmativa:

Sujeto + verbo base (+ s/es para he, she, it)
→ I play / He plays = Yo juego / Él juega

Negativa:
Sujeto + don’t / doesn’t + verbo base
→ I don’t play / He doesn’t play = Yo no juego / Él no juega

Interrogativa:
Do / Does + sujeto + verbo base?
→ Do you play soccer? / Does she play soccer? = ¿Juegas fútbol? / ¿Ella juega fútbol?

Importante:

  • Solo se agrega s o es con he, she, it.
  • En las oraciones negativas y preguntas no se agrega s.

Present Simple

 1. Use (When we use it)

We use the Present Simple to talk about:

  1. Habits and routines
    • I wake up at 6 a.m. every day.
    • She goes to school by bus.
  2. Permanent situations or facts
    • The Earth orbits the Sun.
    • He lives in London.
  3. General truths
    • Water boils at 100°C.
    • Cats like sleeping.
  4. Schedules or timetables (future meaning)
    • The train leaves at 8 o’clock.
    • My class starts at 7:30.

 Presente Simple 

 1. Uso (Cuándo se usa)

Usamos el Presente Simple para hablar de:

  1. Hábitos y rutinas

  2. Hechos permanentes o verdades generales
    • El agua hierve a 100°C.
    • El sol sale por el este.
  3. Horarios o eventos programados
    • El tren sale a las ocho.

 

 2. Estructura

Afirmativa

  • I / You / We / They play football → Yo/Tú/Nosotros/Ellos juegan fútbol.
  • He / She / It plays football → Él/Ella juega fútbol.

 Solo en tercera persona singular (he/she/it) el verbo lleva -s o -es.

 

 Negativa

  • I / You / We / They don’t play football → No juego / no juegas / no jugamos / no juegan.
  • He / She / It doesn’t play football → Él/Ella no juega.

(Después de doesn’t, el verbo va sin “-s”).

 

 Interrogativa

  • Do you play football? → ¿Juegas fútbol?
  • Does she play football? → ¿Ella juega fútbol?

Respuestas cortas:

  • Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
  • Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.

 

 3. Palabras clave
