“Be Going To” – Future Simple
1. What is “Be Going To”?
We use “be going to”
to talk about:
- Plans or intentions in the future.
- Predictions based on what we see or know now.
Examples:
- I’m going to visit my grandmother this
weekend.
- Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain.
2. Structure of “Be Going
To”
Affirmative (Positive):
Subject + am/is/are + going
to + base verb
Examples:
- I am going to study for the test.

Negative:

going to + base verb
Examples:
